High above the rushing traffic of the West Side, a colossal pigeon recently captured the city’s attention.
Iván Argote’s massive “Dinosaur” sculpture quickly turned into a neighborhood talking point—but now, the artistic energy of NYC’s favorite “park in the sky” has sparked a fresh addition to the elevated pathway.
The High Line Shop is officially open, and it’s stocking exclusive apparel, unique gifts, and specialized landscaping gear that you won’t find anywhere else!
Located within the covered passageway between 15th and 16th Streets, the newly revamped retail space caters to daily walkers and out-of-town guests alike.
Terence Bogan, Senior Director of Retail and Merchandising for the High Line, helped develop the storefront to perfectly highlight the park’s iconic naturalistic gardens and current art installations.
Here is what you can expect to find inside:
🐦 Exclusive pigeon merch & plinth apparel
The leading collection honors the highly discussed “Dinosaur” monument.
Fans of the giant bird can pick up themed merchandise, including sweatshirts, plush toys, tote bags, mugs, books, puzzles, and pins.
A second major collection focuses on the current plinth installation by artist Tuan Andrew Nguyen.
Imagery from The Old Turtle’s Recipe for a Light that Shines through the Universe—highlighting hands of fearlessness and compassion—decorates sleek black tote bags and select apparel pieces.

🧵 Chic local collabs & NYC nostalgia
The High Line Shop is also teaming up with Lingua Franca, a New York-based business and neighbor to the park, to offer custom, hand-stitched apparel celebrating the greenspace.
For the history buffs, there’s also the “Wild in the 90s” collection.
This lineup features Joel Sternfeld’s iconic photography of the abandoned, self-seeded railway from back in the day, long before it was transformed into the bustling park we know today.
🪴 Horticultural gear for urban gardeners
Beyond traditional souvenirs, the retail outpost is a goldmine for home cultivators and plant parents.
Shoppers can purchase specific seed blends inspired by the pathway’s signature plantings, such as the Chelsea Grassland wildflower mix.
The shelves also hold premium gardening tools curated by Piet Oudolf, the acclaimed garden designer responsible for the elevated landscape’s famous wild aesthetic.
“We could not be more excited to give High Line fans a way to take a piece of the park home with them while also supporting our mission,” says Alan van Capelle, executive director of Friends of the High Line. “This new collection is as one-of-a-kind as the experience of the park itself.”
The best part?
Every single transaction directly benefits the surrounding public space.
All proceeds fund the High Line’s horticultural care, ongoing maintenance, and free public programming, allowing the park to remain free and open to the public 365 days a year!
