Back for its second year, the AD Art Show is a relatively new type of exhibtion that focuses on artists who got their start in commercial art.
When you think about pop art as a movement, influential names like Warhol, Rosenquist and Haring all come to mind, right? Although their styles are distinct in their own right, their roots from the advertising industry are one of their shared commonalities. Since the 2018 successful launch of the AD ART Show at Sotheby’s in New York, MvVO has brought it back again but this time as a primarily selling exhibition.
Featuring up and coming artists who have been compared to the likes of the big names mentioned above, the curated selection of their work can be seen plastered on the massive digital screens at the Oculus.
After the brief showcase during Frieze Art Week from May 1st-4th, those that missed it can catch the art digitally displayed for the remainder of May. For the interested buyers out there, you can find the available art for purchase here.
P.S. remember, it’s not an AD, it’s an art show!
Where: The Oculus @ Westfield WTC (on the big screens), till May 31st.
