New York is about to feel a lot more like Fiji! 🌴
To celebrate the massive 50th season of Survivor, CBS is potentially turning the city into a literal scavenger hunt for a chance to win a trip to the live finale in Los Angeles.
The show has been scattering hidden immunity idols across the country for weeks, and the New York leg of the challenge is officially set for this Sunday, February 22.
While the exact location is still a secret, and there’s no confirmation it will even be in New York City, the stakes are very real.
Those who can solve the clues and finds the physical idol on the ground will be entered into a sweepstakes for a VIP flyout to the Season 50 finale on May 20, 2026.
It is the ultimate test of your strategic skills without actually having to live on a diet of nothing but rice and coconuts.
Here is everything you need to know to outwit and outplay your fellow New Yorkers this weekend.
The Sunday scavenger hunt
The “Survivor 50 State Challenge” hits our backyard this Sunday, and you’ll want to be prepared ahead of time.
For starters, you will need to keep a close eye on the Survivor 50 Digital Hub for the riddle that reveals the location at 10 am on Sunday.
Once the clue drops, you have to get to the site in person to find the idol.
To officially qualify for the grand prize, you must snap a photo with the idol and upload it to the digital hub.
The event is all-ages and designed for the community, so you can bring your entire tribe along for the trek.

Or step into the game at The Paley Museum
If trekking through the mud for an idol isn’t your speed, you can still get your fix in Midtown starting this Friday, February 20.
The Paley Center for Media is launching a massive exhibit called “Outwit, Outplay, Outlast: Celebrating 50 Seasons of Survivor.”
Opening this Friday, February 20, and running through May, the exhibit is packed with original props, iconic torches, and behind-the-scenes footage from the last two and a half decades.
It’s basically a pilgrimage site for anyone who still remembers where they were when Richard Hatch won season one.
