Last summer’s wildly successful pop up from New York City restaurant, Eleven Madison Park, is making their summer stop on the Hamptons an annual thing.
Last year Eleven Madison Park or EMP was named 2017’s best restaurant in the world! This ranking obviously makes getting a reservation there nearly impossible. Not to mention the fact the menu for dinner for two with a wine pairing can come up to anywhere around $1000 or more.
However, last year after the restaurant closed temporarily for renovations, restauranteur Will Guidara and chef and co-owner Daniel Humm decided to take things to an exclusive farm house location on East Hampton for the summer. The pop up idea was extremely successful and according to Guidara,
“We are thrilled to once again… bring EMP Summer House back to the Hamptons. We had originally planned the pop-up for one season, but had such an incredible experience with our guests and our staff last summer that we… realized there was no choice but to create a sequel.”
And thank goodness they’ve decided to do so. The summer pop up experience is a much more casual affair, offering a seasonal menu with, shall we say, far more reasonable prices for those of us looking for lux but who might not have the wallet fat enough to access it.
Some dishes on the menu include things like Lobster tempura with bibb lettuce, pickled radish and chile-lime aioli and Corn flatbread with parmesan and truffle. The pop up is a partnership with American Express so you need to be a card holder to participate and reservations come with a $50 deposit.
Either way, it looks like foodie haven and we are totally interested. You can make your reservations for this summers pop up here.
