Past meets future at Starlight Festival
Imagine this: 2 days, over 50 artists, and more than 3 stages of immersive electronic music — all at the heart of ancient, mystical grounds. The Great Pyramids of Giza, once home to the richest and most well-known civilizations in the world, turns into a massive party.
The first wave of headliners has already been announced, with Charlotte de Witte, Adriatique, Michael Bibi, Pete Tong, Vintage Culture and more on the lineup — and there’s plenty of other surprises to be unveiled. More artists will be announced in the coming months, solidifying the impact Starlight Festival will have on the electronic music scene come October.
Past meets future at Starlight Festival
The first-ever multi-day and multi-stage festival by the Pyramids of Giza takes place from October 8 – 11 and you might be wondering how to get there.
From NYC, EgyptAir runs nonstop direct flights to Cairo International Airport (CAI). The flight lasts around 10 hours, but you could also make a trip out of it, stopping for a layover in Istanbul (with Turkish Airlines), Dubai (Emirates), Paris (Air France) or even London (British Airways).
U.S. citizens will need a 30-day visa to enter. You can apply either online a couple weeks before leaving NYC or at the Cairo airport for $25 USD. While the Big Apple is mainly a cashless city, you’ll need cash on hand while wandering around Cairo, so an ATM stop as you land is imperative.
What to pack?
While Egypt makes for a warm and sunny vacation spot, temperatures drop in the evening, so make sure you pack a light jacket for festival nights!

Doors open at 5pm everyday and close at 12am, and the age limit is 21+.
The venue has a strict entry policy via ticket only, and doesn’t offer tickets at the door. Note that re-entry isn’t permitted once you’re inside the venue, and all paid tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
