Earlier this year, the Buffalo Bills were selected to play in the 2023 International Games, and the time has finally come! This Sunday, October 8th, the Buffalo Bills will play the Jacksonville Jaguars at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“We are proud to be selected to participate in our league’s international games in 2023 and continue to help grow our sport globally,” shared Buffalo Bills EVP/Chief Operating Officer Ron Raccuia earlier this year. “The NFL has done an incredible job with this initiative. We’re excited for Bills Mafia to experience Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, one of the primary design inspirations for our new stadium scheduled to open in 2026.”
The away game will count as one of the Bill’s nine home games on the 2023 schedule. The two teams played against each other in London before back in 2015 at Wembley Stadium. And since the Jaguars beat us that game, we can only hope to come back with a vengeance this weekend.
Of course, some Bills Mafia have even packed their bags and made the jaunt across the pond to watch their favorite team. But for those who couldn’t make the trip, anyone can stream the game on NFL Network.
In response to the game’s early kickoff (9:30am London time), Governor Kathy Hochul has asked the State Liquor Authority to extend the deadline for special permits to Friday. That way, NYC bars and restaurants will have the opportunity to begin serving liquor as early as 8am Sunday morning.
The current laws prohibit NYC bars and restaurants to serve alcohol between the hours of 4am and 10am on Sundays.
