When it comes to the Theater District, most people aren’t looking to stay and lounge over a long meal. Instead, people are looking to grab a quick bite before rushing off to the theater. That said, one of New Yorkers’ favorite fast-casual dining spots, Shake Shack, is opening a second location in the area, and this time much larger and with plenty of outdoor seating.
Shake Shack has recently signed a 15-year lease for the 3,268-square-foot space at 1700 Broadway, in the heart of the city’s largest tourist destinations. The new space will be different from most of the others already located Manhattan in that a third of the space will go toward having outdoor seating for diners.
According to a report by the New York Post, the outdoor area will seat 152 people and will be about 1,259-square-feet, while the indoor seating will make up the other 2,009-square-feet.
An opening date has not been announced.
