It’s officially fall, and NYC is already bringing on the pumpkins!
With Fall-O-Ween returning to NYBG this September and lots of amazing pumpkin displays expected to pop up around NYC with autumn’s arrival, this may be our favorite one yet–the Seaport’s (the historic enclave of cobblestone streets in downtown Manhattan near the East River) annual Pumpkin Arch display returns for the season this weekend!
On view Saturday, September 28th through Sunday, November 3rd, the massive pumpkin arch frames the Brooklyn Bridge perfectly and makes for the most amazing Halloween photo ops. Last year’s installation reached 10 feet into the air and was made with hundreds of individual pumpkins.
And while it’s already stunning during the day, the display is normally even MORE magical once the sun sets as it lights up the night with twinkling orange lights! So you’ll definitely want to pay it a visit more than once to see it in all its glory both morning and night!
Seaport’s Pumpkin Arch can be seen on the Heineken Riverdeck on the north side of Pier 17, which meets the East River and Beekman and South Street. It’ll be open daily, 24 hours a day.
For even more pumpkins these are the 13 best spots for pumpkin picking in NYC and beyond, there’s an adorable pumpkin village at this NJ farm, and Pumpkin Point, Governors Island’s annual pumpkin patch and fall festival, will return for the season this October!
