It’s officially fall, so bring on the pumpkins!
With the Governors Island pumpkin patch returning this October and lots of amazing pumpkin displays expected to pop up around NYC after the weekend, this may be our favorite one yet.
The Seaport, located in the historic enclave of cobblestone streets in downtown Manhattan near the East River, has just unveiled their annual Pumpkin Arch display…and it’s everything we hoped for!
Normally up through early to mid-November (exact date TBD), the massive arch frames the Brooklyn Bridge perfectly and makes for the most amazing Halloween photo ops. This year’s installation reaches 10 feet into the air and is made with hundreds of individual pumpkins.
And it’s even MORE magical at night:
It’s located on the Heineken Riverdeck at Pier 17, which meets the East River and Beekman and South St.
For even more pumpkins, Fulton Street will host an exciting new pumpkin patch this season. New Yorkers can roam through the patch and admire the Seaport’s surrounding historic architecture.
While you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to check out the Seaport’s first-ever Pumpkin Fest, beginning October 1st. Expect autumnal activities like pumpkin decorating, movie screenings, a Halloween block party and more! Read all about it here.
