What is the Rosendale International Pickle Festival?
The Rosendale International Pickle Festival is an annual event that attracts pickle lovers in droves. The event is rooted in showcasing some of the best pickles and pickling traditions from around the globe.
In addition to beneifiting brine lovers, the Pickle Festival always gives back to the community of Rosendale, donating the proceeds into the library, the youth center, the food pantry and so much more each year.
Where is the Rosendale International Pickle Festival?
The 2025 Rosendale International Pickle Festival will take over the Ulster County Fairgrounds (249 Libertyville Rd, New Paltz), about a two hour drive from NYC. The 2025 Rosendale International Pickle Festival will be the third year the festivities are held at Ulster County Fairgrounds.
You can hop aboard the free UCAT shuttle from Rosendale & New Paltz with service every hour.
When is the Rosendale International Pickle Festival?
The Rosendale International Pickle Festival annually occurs on the third Sunday of every October. This year’s falls on Sunday, October 19th, 2025. The festivities will carry on all day from 10am to 5pm.
Admission
Admission is $5/person, cash only. Children under 12 are free. ATMs will be on the premises and many vendors accept credit cards.
What to expect
Festival goers should be ready to shop as there will be more than 100 vendors selling everything from hot food to baked goods, crafts to jewelry, and of course, pickles! Find a full list of vendors online.
Moreover, if you’re a sucker for a contest, test your skills in the pickle triathlon: pickle eating contest, pickle juice drinking contest, and a pickle toss.
