Enjoy an endless summer by the sea on the island of Manhattan.
NYLO NYC has launched a ‘Secret Beach’ pop-up bar to extend summer for New Yorkers by a few more weeks. Located on the hotel’s hidden rooftop terrace, the bar has transformed into a secluded beachside oasis where you can have a refreshing cocktail with gorgeous panoramic views of Manhattan—basically the best of both worlds.
The space has nautical tones and blue and white, with fiber optic lights that overlap and cascade over, emulating “waves collapsing onto a beach and creating an ethereal and soothing effect.” Fully encompassing the theme, the ground will also be made up of soft beach grasses.
The cocktails for Secret Beach were created by the Director of Beverage at NYLO, Jeremy Fowler. Menu items will include large creations, like the ‘Rum Traitor’—made with rum, Szechuan peppercorn syrup, fresh pineapple juice, lime juice, and gold leaf—which is served as a ”ration” large enough for two with a treasure trove of edible gold coins. Another fun cocktail you’ll find on the menu is their ‘Basic Beach’—made with gin, blue curaçao, lemon tonic, and coconut LaCroix—which is served on edible cookie sand, a candy beach ball, and a shovel to dig for chocolate sea shells. A curated wine list and selection of Toast Ales beer will also be available.
Guests are welcome to relax on the terrace from Wednesday through Saturday evenings, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., until October 27th.
