Situated 64 floors above the ground in the Financial District you’ll find Overstory, a contemporary cocktail bar with sweeping views of New York City.
Located in 70 Pine Street, a 1932 art deco building that’s also home to SAGA Restaurant and Crown Shy, Overstory gives off a cozy, retro vibe.
Quickly becoming one of the city’s most elegant cocktail destinations since its August 2021 opening, upon walking in you’ll be greeted by moody, intimate vibes and plush furniture. Head to the outdoor wrap-around wrought-iron terrace to take in stunning views that seemingly never end. Their terrace even has heated seats for the colder months!
On the menu you’ll find a number of elevated cocktails that are minimal but elegant, such as the 212, made with whiskey, vermouth, cocoa nib, amaro, and black pear, and the Easy Money, an elevated version of a vodka soda, made with vodka, coconut, yuzu, lime leaf, and soda. They also offer selection of beer and wine if a cocktail isn’t necessarily your jam.
Before soaring to new heights to enjoy a cocktail in the sky, however, it’s important to know that reservations are recommended, as walk-ins are welcome but extremely limited. They are accepted 15 days in advance and can be made here.
Overstory is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30p.m. to 12:30a.m.
