You might have heard of Cantina Rooftop’s fan favorite, Big Ass Taco. Now it’s time to meet it’s long lost cousin, Big Ass Burrito!
April 1st not only marks April fool’s day, but honors National Burrito Day. And what better way to celebrate than by consuming a 15lb burrito? That’s right, 15lbs!
Cantina Rooftop has been selling a taco weighing over 10lbs (Big Ass Taco) for some time now, but April 1st will mark the debut of Chef Saul Montiel’s Big Ass Burrito (BAB).
The monster of a meal includes your choice of hanger steak or chicken, chipotle puree, Mexican rice, black beans, chihuahua cheese, lettuce, avocado, queso fresco, pico de gallo, salsa ranchera, Morita and avocado sauces, and sour cream all snug inside an enormous homemade tortilla.
Chef Saul Montiel began his culinary journey in Atotonilco el Grande, outside of Pachuca in central Mexico learning from his grandmother and mother. At fifteen he moved the U.S. and swiftly advanced his way through the restaurant industry. He joined Cantina Rooftop in 2018 and has been bringing his expertise and brilliant talent to the restaurant ever since.
The BAB will feed anywhere from 6-8 people. Priced at $80, it’s the perfect dish to share.
Don’t forget to snap a photo and post to social media because this is one insta-worthy burrito!
The BAB will be available the entire month of April. You can make your reservations for Cantina Rooftop here.
