Summer in NYC is all about waterfront drinks, and Brooklyn is getting a massive new destination just in time for golden hour.
Launching on May 9, the Red Hook Barrel Yard is a sprawling 40,000-square-foot waterfront oasis that will house a winery, cidery, and a soon-to-be-operational distillery all under one roof.
Nestled right on the harbor cobblestones, the massive space boasts multiple outdoor patios with unobstructed, stunning views of the Statue of Liberty, lower Manhattan, and the water.
It’s practically begging to be your new go-to sunset spot.
Here is everything you need to know about this massive new Brooklyn hangout:

A love letter to New York drinks
The beverage program at the Barrel Yard is deeply rooted in local agriculture, with ingredients grown exclusively by New York State farmers.
You can sip your way through the Red Hook Cidery, which offers curated flights of New York ciders (including naturally sparkling pet-nats!), or head to the Red Hook Winery for Long Island North Fork wines by the glass.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even book a winery tour and taste right out of the barrel.
A dedicated Red Hook Distillery producing small-batch spirits is also slated to join the lineup later this year.

Seafood towers and iconic eats by Lundy’s
What’s a waterfront drink without some incredible seafood?
The Red Hook Barrel Yard has partnered with the legendary Brooklyn institution Lundy’s to handle the menu.
Head Chef Steve Mannino’s “Lundy’s on the Waterfront” menu is bringing back nostalgic classics like Lundy’s Clam Bisque, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, and a full raw bar serving up epic seafood towers.
Not a seafood fan? They’re also serving up ancient Neapolitan-style Pinsa Romana pizzas.
“Lundy’s has long held a special place in my heart, so to partner with them and bring them back to the waterfront, continuing this tradition of good, honest food in a waterfront setting is really something to celebrate, said Mark Snyder, founder of Red Hook Barrel Yard.
“There’s so much to discover and explore here and more to come as the summer progresses.”

Hours and future developments
There’s even more on the horizon as the summer progresses, including a highly anticipated Lundy’s weekend waterfront brunch, the commissioning of the distillery’s stills, and the opening of the Valentino Craft Cocktail Bar.
Walk-ins are totally welcome, and the venue offers table service both indoors and right on the water.
