Central Park has been invaded by dozens of small, furry guests. They are friendly, they are hungry, and they are just so damn cute. If you thought we were talking about Gremlins, sorry, those aren’t real. We are talking about the recent troop of raccoons that likes to hang out in Central Park. They all like to hang out together, and they are absolutely adorable. But just like the aforementioned Gremlins, these cute beasts hide a dark secret in their tiny bodies.
[timeout]That dark secret is called….rabies. Raccoons are well known rabies carriers. Although lots of tourists have been feeding these raccoons, the smart thing would be to keep your distance and enjoy them from far. Plus, if you get bitten by one, the state is required to decapitate the raccoon to check for rabies. No fun for you. No fun for the raccoon. Let’s keep NY light and fun for everybody, and just enjoy these photos of the Central Park raccoon cute gang from a distance.
