If you missed the Dead Rabbit’s cocktail-making class, now you have another chance to learn from the best bartenders in NYC.
Beloved cocktail bars Raines Law Room and Dear Irving, which come from the same hospitality group, have started hosting virtual cocktail-making classes every week.
Head to the Raines Law Room website to book your class for this weekend, which mimic the ones they used to host in-person at their bars. “All of our online classes have been tailored to work in your home, while still bringing the attention to detail and hospitality you’ve come to expect from us,” they say. “All classes include demonstrations, recipes, a question and answer segment, and a reading list so that you can continue to explore the world of cocktails!”
From “The Art of the Old-Fashioned” to “At Home Speakeasy Vibes” featuring pre-prohibition era drinks, there are options no matter your drinking style or liquor of choice. Book here for only $10, which goes to employees.
As for Dear Irving, they have been conducting their classes on Instagram Live on Wednesdays. Conveniently, they post the recipes the next day on their feed, so you can recreate any drink you wish (I even made the “Whiskey Business,” from this post, and that cinnamon syrup is a game-changer!). They also have a link to their GoFundMe page for donations.
Quarantine cheers!
