If your love language is pockets of dough stuffed with deliciousness, then we’ve found your soulmate. On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Jackson Heights will transform into a dumpling paradise for the 13th annual Momo Crawl. Think: $1 momos from dozens of restaurants, steaming hot and packed with flavor, all waiting for you.
Diversity Plaza will turn into a dumpling heaven with $1 momos from dozens of Tibetan, Nepalese, and South Asian restaurants. Add in live music, cultural performances, and the kind of block party vibes NYC is known for and you’ve got one of the most delicious festivals of the year.
2025 Queens Momo Crawl
For the uninitiated, the Momo Crawl is New York City’s biggest Himalayan food and cultural festival, a chance to eat your way through Jackson Heights while discovering some of the best momos in town.
Last year’s edition featured more than 30 local spots—including favorites like Amdo Kitchen, Gangri Karpo, Potala Fresh Food, and Mom’s Momo—and this year promises even more new restaurants joining the lineup.
In order to crawl properly, you’ll need to purchase a Momo Crawl Passport. Two versions are available:
Regular Passport — $15
- 2000+ available
- $1 momos at every participating restaurant
- A ballot to vote for your favorite vendor
- Bonus: the first 100 crawlers get a free Tibetan scarf (Khatag)
Limited Edition Passport — $60
- Premium black-and-gold embossed passport
- Skip-the-line express access
- Exclusive Momo Crawl T-shirt
- Collector’s Tibetan scarf (Khatag)
- $1 momos at all vendors + voting rights
Passports can be purchased online and picked up as early as 11:45 am at Diversity Plaza on the morning of the crawl. Just bring your email receipt (digital is fine) or a photo ID to collect yours.
Tip: Passports sell out fast every year, so grab yours early if you want in on the fun.
And while shoveling $1 momos into your face is certainly enticing, the real fun comes with casting your ballot.
Every participant gets to vote for the best momo in Queens, with voting closing at 4:30 pm. The winner takes home serious bragging rights in the neighborhood—and you get to say you helped crown them.
Meanwhile, Diversity Plaza will be alive with cultural shows, music, and performances from local artists, making the Crawl more than just a food festival. It’s a full-on celebration of Jackson Heights’ diversity and Queens’ legendary food scene.
So grab a passport, follow your nose, and let the momo madness begin! Aaaand maybe wear your stretchy pants.
