Com a chegada oficial da primavera, este é o momento de sair e se aventurar um pouco enquanto o sol está brilhando! Cada uma dessas caminhadas perto de Nova York é acessível por transporte público, talvez com um pouco de caminhada (ou até mesmo uma curta corrida de táxi, se preferir) para chegar ao início da trilha…mas você está lá para caminhar, então é melhor começar cedo!
Organizamos essas caminhadas da mais fácil para a mais difícil para facilitar a decisão de onde ir. Não deixe suas câmeras em casa, pois cada uma dessas caminhadas oferece vistas deslumbrantes. É hora de curtir a natureza antes que o frio se torne insuportável – aqui está onde ir:
1. Parque Estadual Franny Reese
Caminhe pela Walkway Over the Hudson: é a ponte de pedestres mais longa do mundo (212 pés acima do rio) e siga para o oeste até o Franny Reese State Park.

2. Arden Point e Glenclyffe
Um circuito de 3,7 milhas que passa por impressionantes pontos de vista panorâmicos sobre o Rio Hudson.

3. Circuito das 13 pontes
Essa linda trilha leva você por 13 pontes ao longo do Rockefeller State Park Preserve. Com certeza será linda a cada curva e reviravolta.
Como chegar lá: Linha Hudson do Metrô-Norte até Tarrytown e pegue a linha 0013 em direção à estação ferroviária de Ossining da N Broadway @ Neperan Rd até o Phelps Hospital e depois caminhe até a reserva.

4. Caminhada no nariz de Anthony
Essa curta seção da Appalachian Trail o levará ao Anthony’s Nose. É um incrível cume rochoso com uma vista maravilhosa da Bear Mountain Bridge. No entanto, não é exatamente para os fracos de coração, pois você subirá uma escadaria de rocha de 500 pés antes que a trilha se estabilize para o restante da caminhada de 2,6 milhas até o cume.

5. Trilha Camp Smith
Essa caminhada é ótima para fugir de algumas das trilhas mais populares desta lista e uma trilha perfeita para levar o cãozinho junto.

6. Trilha Wanaque Ridge
Espere vistas deslumbrantes nesta caminhada de 8,5 quilômetros. Essa trilha tem tudo o que você pode desejar. Você visitará o belo Lago Ramapo e seguirá a trilha ao longo do cume oeste das Montanhas Ramapo. Aprecie a vista de tirar o fôlego do Ramapo Lake.
Como chegar lá: Ônibus #197 da NJ Transit para a Ringwood Ave na Meadowbrook Ave (20 minutos de caminhada até a trilha)

7. Parque Estadual Storm King
O Storm King oferece uma variedade de opções de caminhadas que diferem em inclinação e variam de 3,6 a 8 quilômetros. Independentemente da trilha escolhida, você ainda terá vistas deslumbrantes do Hudson Valley e de Catskills.

8. Escada para o céu
Com um campo de flores silvestres, uma ponte suspensa e pastos de vacas, essa caminhada é cheia de surpresas. O momento mais mágico é a vista que você terá quando chegar ao topo da Wawayanda Mountain, a 1.470 pés de altura. Se quiser uma trilha mais fácil, no entanto, você pode passear pelo calçadão de 3 km.
Como chegar lá: Ônibus NJ Transit #196 ou #197 para Warwick, depois um táxi de 10 minutos até o início da trilha

9. Morro do Touro
Bull Hill é uma trilha muito próxima a Breakneck Ridge, mas não tão popular, o que significa menos pessoas. Você poderá desfrutar de vistas deslumbrantes do Hudson Valley a 1.350 pés de altura.

10. Trilha amarela no Monte Beacon
Essa caminhada bonita, mas desafiadora, é na verdade bem rápida. São apenas 2,5 milhas no total! Até o cume e de volta.

11. Trilha dos Apalaches na montanha Bellvale
Essa trilha definitivamente não é para um caminhante iniciante, mas vale a pena pelas vistas deslumbrantes da Sterling Forest e do Greenwood Lake do ponto mais alto da trilha em Nova York, a Prospect Rock. Para um aventureiro ávido, essa é uma caminhada obrigatória.
Como chegar lá: Ônibus NJ Transit #197 para a Route 17A e Kain Road, depois caminhe até a Continental Road

12. Trilha Breakneck Ridge
A mais difícil das caminhadas desta lista, essa trilha não é para amadores e faz jus ao seu nome. A Breakneck Ridge é um circuito de 9,6 milhas com subidas íngremes e escaladas ocasionais em rochas.
Como chegar lá: Linha Hudson do Metrô Norte até Breakneck Ridge (somente nos fins de semana)
