O equinócio de outono está se aproximando e, com ele, as belas cores da estação!
Além de suéteres aconchegantes e bebidas quentes, uma das melhores partes do outono é apreciar a linda mudança de cores das folhas nos mais brilhantes vermelhos, laranjas e amarelos.
E este ano, será mais fácil do que nunca saber quando as folhas estarão mudando. A I LOVE NY trouxe de volta seu relatório anual sobre a folhagem de outono e está lançando relatórios semanais durante toda a estação!
O relatório da semana 3, de 25 de setembro a 1º de outubro, mostra as folhas mudando no norte do estado, com cores próximas ao pico nas Adirondacks. Se você estiver na região, não deixe de ficar de olho nas árvores, pois grandes mudanças devem ocorrer na maior parte da região no fim de semana. Quanto às partes mais ao sul do estado, como Catskills, os nova-iorquinos podem esperar que as folhas estejam no ponto médio da mudança.
Em Nova York, os observadores de folhas não terão muita sorte nesta semana (ou nas próximas), pois atualmente há muito pouco para observar. De acordo com o mapa, haverá uma mudança de cor de 5% no Lower East Side. No entanto, o pico da folhagem em Nova York tende a aparecer mais perto do final de outubro.
De acordo com o mapa dos anos anteriores, Nova York tende a ser uma das últimas áreas a atingir o pico da folhagem. No ano passado, não foi diferente, com NYC atingindo o pico durante a oitava e última semana do mapa.
O mapa detalhado inclui resultados de mais de 85 observadores de campo e reflete as condições de cores esperadas para os próximos fins de semana em todo o estado de Nova York. Além disso, você pode ver quais regiões são os lugares perfeitos para viajar para uma linda escapada de outono.
Em cada relatório, compilado pela Divisão de Turismo do Empire State Development (I LOVE NY), observadores voluntários de folhas compartilham tudo, desde as cores predominantes das folhas até a porcentagem aproximada de mudança e o quanto a mudança de cor progrediu em relação às condições de pico em cada região do estado.
