1. As Catskills
A região de Nova York, ao lado das deslumbrantes montanhas Catskills, é bem grande e oferece muitas caminhadas, produtos frescos da fazenda e um ritmo muito mais lento do que o de Nova York. É uma terra dos sonhos vibrante às margens do Lago Champlain que parece ser o refúgio perfeito para alguns dias! Além disso, enquanto não estiver praticando esportes, você pode comer e beber no Church Street Marketplace, apreciar a vista do Lake Champlain e assistir a um show no teatro centenário The Flynn!
3. Os Hamptons
Os Hamptons são conhecidos como o lugar para onde os nova-iorquinos fogem no verão, e por um bom motivo. Praias de frente para o mar, restaurantes na água e butiques de luxo são apenas alguns dos motivos pelos quais esse é o local de fuga favorito dos moradores de Manhattan. 4. North Fork, Long Island
A outra “bifurcação” de Long Island pode não ser tão conhecida quanto os Hamptons, mas é igualmente deslumbrante! As vinícolas são o nome do jogo aqui – algumas de nossas favoritas podem ser encontradas aqui – além de praias locais calmas e muita culinária fresca da fazenda. Saiba mais aqui.
5. Boston, Massachusetts
Faça uma visita aos nossos amigos de Boston para passar um fim de semana em uma das melhores cidades da Costa Leste. Você pode passar um dia do fim de semana em Maratha’s Vineyard, uma noite em um jogo do Boston Red Sox e até mesmo comer no delicioso Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
6. Filadélfia, Pensilvânia
A uma curta distância de trem ou carro está a Filadélfia, a cidade do Amor Fraterno! Durante o verão, você pode assistir ao jogo do Philadelphia Phillies ou participar de atividades de verão, como passear pelo Dilworth Park, patinar no rinque de patinação do Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest, fazer um deslumbrante cruzeiro fluvial pela cidade e muito mais! 7. Newport, Rhode Island
A apenas alguns estados de distância fica Rhode Island, onde reside um dos nossos destinos favoritos de fim de semana, Newport! Há muito o que fazer aqui para que seja uma ótima viagem, incluindo percorrer a Ocean Drive, conferir o Farol de Lefrak Point, fingir que está em “Saltburn” e passear por mansões enormes e muito mais! 8. Lake Placid, Nova York
A mais de 5 horas de distância da cidade de Nova York, Lake Placid merece ser uma excursão de fim de semana inteiro. É claro que o destino invernal é excelente para esquiar e praticar snowboard, mas o antigo local das Olimpíadas de 1980 tem muitas atrações para ver no verão, como o Lake Placid Olympic Ski Jumping Complex, o Lake Placid Olympic Museum e muito mais! Sem mencionar a vizinha Whiteface Mountain e o pitoresco Mirror Lake.
9. Washington, D.C.
De acordo com nossos amigos de D.C., há muito o que fazer lá no verão! Quero dizer, o que você acha de um show na Capital One Arena, uma apresentação do The Washington Ballet ou simplesmente passear e aproveitar as surpresas que encontrar? Muito bom, nós sabemos.
10. A região de Finger Lakes, Nova York
A região de Finger Lakes, no norte do estado de Nova York, é um fim de semana bem passado na região vinícola. As diferentes cidades dos lagos estão repletas de vinhedos e vinícolas, passeios panorâmicos de barco nos lagos e cidades charmosas como Seneca Falls e Skaneateles. Recomendamos alugar um Airbnb para um fim de semana e fazer um tour por algumas (das mais de 100) vinícolas da região, antes de explorar as trilhas panorâmicas em parques estaduais como o Watkins Glen State Park e o Taughannock Falls State Park. Depois, termine caminhando por alguns dos centros históricos mais importantes do estado, repletos de butiques, galerias de arte e cafés aconchegantes.
11. Lake George, Nova York

15. Rhinebeck, Nova York
Localizada no coração do Hudson Valley, essa cidade pitoresca tem vista para as Catskills, além de muitos negócios locais. 16. Bear Mountain & Harriman State Parks (Parques Estaduais Bear Mountain e Harriman)
A Bear Mountain e o Harriman State Park ficam a pouco mais de uma hora da cidade, mas com certeza você terá a sensação de estar em um mundo diferente. Caminhe até o topo da Bear Mountain para apreciar vistas incríveis e depois se recompense com um jantar e drinques no histórico Bear Mountain Inn. Ou, se você quiser algo ainda mais simples, leve seus próprios suprimentos e acampe no Harriman State Park, que é menor e fica no final da estrada.
