The Michelin-starred dim sum restaurant, Tim Ho Wan, is gearing up to open their second NYC location in Hell’s Kitchen this coming Monday, October 29.
In 2016, the first New York location opened in the East Village and has remained a popular go-to spot over the two year span. On weekends you’ll still have to wait in lines to dine there, literally from the moment they open (we’ve tried!).
But as of Monday, there will be two locations in the city to visit! Their second outpost will open at 610 9th Avenue (between 43rd and 44th Street). In a press release, co-founder Mad Kwai Pui said “it was only natural to open a second location in New York” after the success they found with the first location on 4th Avenue.
According to a report by Food & Wine, the new location will several of their classics “including baked BBQ pork buns, steamed shrimp dumplings, steamed rice rolls with BBQ pork, and those pan-fried turnip cakes.”
The restaurant first opened in Hong Kong in 2009 and since then has expanded globally, with more locations planned to open in 2019.
