The team behind popular cocktail bars Dear Irving and Raines Law Room is now opening a new space in Midtown called Dear Irving on Hudson.
The expansion is located within the Aliz Hotel at 310 West 40th Street, on the 40th and 41st floors. The cocktail bar features a selection of small plates, but keeps their focus primarily on the cocktails which are curated by the bar director Meaghan Dorman. On offer are their Ode to The Empire State cocktails (which are an exploration of New York-made spirits), their Tried & True favorites, and of course a selection of beer and wine.
Some creations include the Balto Old-Fashioned, a seasonal cocktail made with hudson baby bourbon, american fruits barrel aged apple liqueur, maple, and angostura bitters; Vice Versa, made with dorothy parker gin, grapefruit, giffard pamplemousse, luxardo bitter, raventos, and rosé cava; Wildest Redhead, made with monkey shoulder, lemon, honey, allspice dram, and cherry heering; and La Paloma, made with espolon blanco tequila, agave, grapefruit, lime, perrier, and salt that can be made spicy if you’d like.
Dear Irving on Hudson’s beautifully chic space serves Art Deco vibes with funky geometric furniture, shiny accents, and a sleek bar. The space also features stunning, 360 degree views of Manhattan’s skyline from their four surrounding balconies.
Most of their seating on the 40th floor is dedicated to walk-in guests, but reservations for groups of 2 to 10 can be made through Resy. The 41st floor, however, is only available by reservation.
