All aboard The Polar Express!
There’s something about the holiday season that makes everything a bit more magical…like a train ride through the Hudson Valley.
Through December 28, you can take the Polar Express from Kingston, New York to the North Pole, where you’ll pick up Santa for the ride back! The hour and a half long ride is based off of Chris Van Allsburg’s book The Polar Express.
The ride itself will feature character appearances from the book, as well as delicious hot chocolate!
“During the journey, the conductor will punch tickets and chefs will serve hot chocolate, just like in the film. Passengers will also enjoy a sing along and a special reading of the Van Allsburg classic. At the North Pole, Santa will board the train to greet the children and will give a special sleigh bell to all those who believe.”
The holiday train runs along the Catskill Mountain Railroad on Friday evenings, and several times a day on Saturdays and Sundays. You can get your tickets for the 2019 Polar Express here.
