You’ve probably seen Lewis Miller’s beautiful flower displays transform the streets of NYC before, and his latest will take place tomorrow, Oct. 23!
Miller has teamed up with iconic brand Ralph Lauren to celebrate their Pink Pony initiative’s 20th anniversary. Pink Pony is Lauren’s global campaign dedicated to the fight against cancer, from sharing the stories of survivors to working to reduce disparities in cancer care.
According to Architectural Digest, tomorrow’s “Flower Flash” will occur right outside of Macy’s Herald Square, where “Shoppers will be encouraged to pluck flowers to take home, part of an effort to spread love (and the #pinkpony hashtag) around the city.”
The flash will feature 20 vibrant shades of pink, inspired by the pink peonies blended into Romance Pink Pony Edition, from Ralph Lauren Fragrances.
The partnership started earlier this month, when the first Flower Flash popped up at Harlem’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Ralph Lauren Center. They then sold flower arrangements inspired by the flash, with 50% of proceeds going to the Pink Pony Fund of the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation, dedicated to fighting cancer by ensuring that treatment is available at an earlier, more curable stage.
According to Architectural Digest, tomorrow’s flash will occur right outside of Macy’s Herald Square, where “Shoppers will be encouraged to pluck flowers to take home, part of an effort to spread love (and the #pinkpony hashtag) around the city.”
“The whole idea of the flower flash is to give back, to give joy,” Miller told the magazine. “We live in a crazy world and we’re a little bit starved for joy—if we can have a feel-good moment, that’s really important right now.”
