Summer in NYC begins with the sip of that first rooftop cocktail – and what better way to kick off everyone’s favourite season than with a Pineau des Charentes pop-up in one of the city’s most iconic sky-high spots? Taking over the Daintree rooftop at Hendricks’s Hotel from June 10 through to August 31, Pineau Playtime is bringing you delicious Pineau des Charentes-based cocktails and immaculate summer vibes, all to be enjoyed before panoramic views. Nine other bars across the city will also be serving bespoke Pineau de Charentes cocktails across the summer, keep reading to find out everywhere you can enjoy the perfect French apéritif in New York…
Hailing from France’s Charentes region, Pineau des Charentes owes its bold, one-of-a-kind aroma to a unique blend of fresh grape juice and Cognac – both products of the same region, which is also home to the town of Cognac itself. This versatile spirited wine is perfect for mixology, and totally lends itself to creative cocktail making, as you’ll discover for yourself at Pineau Playtime!
Boasting some of the best views the city has to offer, Daintree’s rooftop oasis is the perfect place to sip and savor the flavours of Pineau des Charentes. There will be three bespoke Pineau-based creations on offer, and whether you’re a seasoned fan or a curious newcomer, these cocktails are the ultimate way to elevate your apéritif hour. You can relax in true French style on Daintree Rooftop at 25 W 38th St 29th Floor, New York, NY 10018 from June 10 to August 31, Monday-Tuesday 4pm-10pm, and Wednesday-Saturday 4pm-12am.
But Pineau Playtime doesn’t end there! There will be ten other bars featuring Pineau based cocktails on their menus June through August, each offering a fresh take on this spirited French apéritif. Here’s where you can find them:
