Bourke Street Bakery is one of Sydney’s most successful chain bakeries. This year, they’re opening their first location outside of Australia here in New York!
This fall, Bourke Street is expanding into Manhattan with a location in Nomad at 15 East 28th Street, between Fifth and Madison Avenues. The first Bourke Street bakery opened in Syndey in 2004 and since then has expanded into an iconic Australian staple featuring pastries, sourdough breads and special Aussie treats like sausage rolls.
According to Eater, the counter-service NYC bakery and cafe will have 50 seats that look into the baking operation and everything will be made on site. Price point will run around $10 for their fresh loafs and other delicious options will be available daily like their pies, muffins, brioches, brownies, cakes and famed ginger creme brulee tart. Sandwhiches and salads will also be served.
At the moment, the cafe is set to be open all day and will even be serving wine and dessert in the evening. The opening
