Visit Salt Lake is giving Hudson River Park’s Pier 84 an Olympic makeover! On Friday, October 25 from 12pm-5pm, you’ll get to step inside the free Olympian’s Playground — a pop-up park bringing the very best of Salt Lake to NYC. The limited-time event is the opportunity to step away from the hustle and bustle, with meet-and-greets with actual Olympic athletes, fitness classes led by top instructors, delicious treats, wildflowers and so much more.
Salt Lake City has recently been named as the host for the 2034 Winter Games, so what better opportunity to celebrate?
Explore Salt Lake City without leaving NYC at the Olympian’s Playground!
What if you could live the Salt Lake lifestyle without leaving the Big Apple? With the Olympian’s Playground, Salt Lake comes to life right here in NYC through exciting activities! Visitors can test their skills on a climbing wall, or participate in group fitness classes led by Life Time, alongside U.S. Ski & Snowboard Olympic and Paralympic athletes who live and practice year-round in Salt Lake!
But if you’re not into training like an Olympian, that’s okay too: on-site ‘make your own medal’ sections will get you feeling like the winner you are, without stepping foot on the slopes.
There are also plenty of photo-ops you don’t want to miss, including meet-and-greets with Olympic and Paralympic athletes Zach Miller, Nick Page, and Chris Lillis. And of course, there will be local vendors, gear from Cotopaxi and Dynastar, as well as food and drinks! Kodiak will offer a delicious breakfast, and Salt Lake’s very own Urban Hill provides all the on-site bites you could ever need.
The Visit Salt Lake Olympian’s Playground is the spot to be for Olympic game lovers, athletes, foodies and all outdoor enthusiasts. The pop-up will only be at Pier 84 on Friday, October 25 so save your spot while you can!
