Close your eyes. Now imagine rolling sand dunes, colorful bazaars, and beautiful feats of architecture. This could soon be your surroundings in the beautiful country of Morocco with United Airlines set to launch a new direct flight from Newark to Marrakesh this October.
Passengers will officially be able to fly on the country’s only direct route from the U.S. to Marrakesh starting October 24, 2024. The route will be serviced by a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with three weekly flights to book from. The duration of the flight will come out be around seven and a half hours.
United already flies to other African destinations including: Accra, Ghana; Lagos, Nigeria; Cape Town and Johannesburg, and South Africa. United Airlines will proudly offer the most flight options between the New York metro area and Africa by next winter.
In addition to the Marrakesh route, United will also launch flights between Tokyo/Narita-Cebu, Philippines and Houston-Medellin, Colombia. Plus, four weekly flights between Los Angeles and Shanghai before it turns into daily service by October. Under these new additions, United now has the largest and most diversified network of international routes with direct service to 134 global destinations across 67 countries.
