Thrill-seekers have a massive reason to celebrate this summer because New York City’s most adrenaline-pumping attraction is already ripping through the water.
For the first time in over ten years, the iconic high-speed boat ride known as THE BEAST has expanded its footprint and launched from a second downtown location.

The bright green monster officially kicked off its 2026 season back on May 9, and you can now catch it tearing through the harbor from both Midtown West and the Downtown Seaport.

Double the departure spots for maximum thrills
Operated by Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, THE BEAST is basically a rollercoaster on the water.
It hits speeds of up to 45 mph, blasting pounding music and leaving a massive splash zone in its wake as it rockets toward the Statue of Liberty for an unforgettable photo op.
For the last decade, this jet-powered thrill ride only operated out of Pier 83 in Midtown.
Now, it has made a triumphant return to Pier 16 at the South Street Seaport.
Whether you want to zoom down the west side of Manhattan or blast under the Brooklyn Bridge from downtown, you have two epic ways to experience the chaos this season.

Refuel with waterfront views and boozy new sips
All that screaming and getting soaked works up a serious appetite.
Luckily, Circle Line also reopened BEAST’ro at Pier 81 on the West Side right after the boats launched.
The waterfront dining spot brought a massive upgrade to its menu this year by adding a full lineup of alcoholic beverages for the very first time.
Here is what you can sip on while drying off:
- Cocktails on Tap: Classic Margarita, Rocket Fuel (spiced rum, coconut rum, pineapple, citrus), Speeder’s Spritz (Aperol, vodka, prosecco), and the Midtown Mule (watermelon, lime vodka, ginger beer).
- Beer & Seltzer: Stella Artois, Coney Island Pilsner, Goose Island IPA, Michelob Ultra, and Nutrl Hard Seltzer.
- Wine: Cabernet, Pinot Grigio, and Rosé.
- Non-Alcoholic Options: Athletic Run Wild IPA, Aplos Chili Margarita, and Lyre Amalfi Spritz.
You can pair those drinks with casual fan favorites like personal pizzas, Beastwiches, loaded Kraken Nachos, soft pretzels, and soft serve ice cream.
The dual-location operations of THE BEAST and the revamped menu at BEAST’ro are in full swing right now to make your NYC summer unforgettable.
Just remember to leave anything you do not want soaked back on land!
