New York’s medical marijuana program has expanded their service allowing registered patients to have medical marijuana delivered to their home.
Given that more than half of New York’s registered users use medical marijuana to treat severe or chronic pain, a series of Health Department recommendations made earlier in August, has helped push the home delivery plan into effect.
Currently there are only about 675 physicians registered to certify patients for medical marijuana in New York. Along with home delivery, the plan will also permit nurses to certify patients with cancer, HIV, ALS, Parkinson’s, MS and other conditions, for medical marijuana.
