There’s no better place to be in summer weather than NYC’s gorgeous rooftops, and at these concerts you can enjoy the views while also taking in the city’s top musical talent.
The celebrated “Concerts Under the Stars” series is now expanding to new rooftops across the city to bring you even more mesmerizing musical performances under the lights of NYC. (Martinis encouraged!)
First, at the stunning Mondrian Park Ave in Nomad, listen to the talented Badia Farha’s incredible musical performance of female jazz artists spanning the decades, like Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and Amy Winehouse. Farha will also provide historical insight about these glorious women as they blazed their own legendary trails.
For a more modern evening, check out “From Beethoven To Beyonce” with critically-acclaimed composer, pianist and singer-songwriter (and Julliard graduate) Natalie Tenenbaum. Or, if you need to get your Broadway fix before the Great White Way reopens in September, you can be transported to NYC’s iconic stages with a mix of Broadway-centered performances!
At the glamorous Hotel Chantelle on the Lower East Side you can be whisked away to a sultry Parisian night with the iconic music of Edith Piaf, Josephine Baker & more. The styles of France’s most beloved chansons will be sung by none other than Broadway star Ciara Renée (Frozen, Big Fish, Pippin).
Or, enjoy a rooftop dinner alongside the jazz flavors of Brazil with an evening of bossa nova, samba and more. For this feature, you’ll get to enjoy the fantastic musical stylings of Antonio Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto, and Luiz Bonfá, plus modern tunes performed with a Brazilian twist.
At Hotel Chantelle, each ticket includes a two-course meal of choice, with additional drinks and bites available for separate purchase.
And a new addition is “Sinatra Under The Stars” on the rooftop of 74Wythe in Williamsburg, which will transport you back to a time when Sinatra reigned the scene. Enjoy a classic cocktail under the stars and melt away “those little town blues” thanks to Benny Benack III, one of NYC’s finest jazz musicians. The renowned trumpeter and vocalist will perform your favorites like “Fly Me To The Moon,” “Mack The Knife,” and of course, “New York, New York.”
