Michelin Guide Inspectors spend their days year-round on the road looking for the best of the best restaurants that they can recommend, and lucky for us they’re not keeping any of it a secret!
They just recently announced the first round of additions to the NYC Michelin Guide, letting NYers know how the city’s beloved restaurants stand up to their guidelines.
So far 14 restaurants located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Westchester are up for awards this year, and are the first round of new additions since Michelin’s star and Bib Gourmand recipients were announced last fall.
The list of NYC restaurants added to the list which are up for 2023 Michelin awards include:
- C as in Charlie, Manhattan
- Claud, Manhattan
- Coco Shack, Manhattan
- Ipanema, Manhattan
- Jōji, Manhattan
- Koloman, Manhattan
- Le Rock, Manhattan
- Lord’s, Manhattan
- Shmoné, Manhattan
- 53, Manhattan
- Kru, Brooklyn
- Augustine’s Salumeria, Westchester
- La Cremaillere, Westchester
- Town House, Westchester
Keep in mind that being added to the NYC guide doesn’t guarantee that the restaurant will receive stars or a Bib Gourmand award, rather they are most often new restaurants that have piqued Michelin’s interest.
Whether they receive Michelin awards or not one thing’s for certain–we’ll be trying our hardest to get reservations at these restaurants in the coming months!
