NYers beloved Restaurant Week is returning today, Tuesday, January 17 through Sunday, February 12. If you’re unfamiliar with this bi-annual tradition, it was created back in 1992 to celebrate NYC’s dining scene by offering prix fixe menus to some of the city’s most established restaurants and neighborhood favorites.
Eager eaters are able to sample some of NYC’s top restaurants at incredible lunch and dinner rates. This year, more than 450+ restaurants across all five boroughs are participating in Restaurant Week, offering deals during meal periods of their choosing (lunch or dinner,). This winter there will be a trio of pricing options, including $30, $45, and $60.
Their website notes that this pricing structure enables more restaurants to participate in Restaurant Week and provides varying dining options and more available reservations for customers.
Most restaurants run their deals Monday-Friday, as Saturday is excluded from the program and Sunday participation is decided upon by the restaurants.
And though ‘Restaurant Week To-Go’ was highly successful in the past, there’s no guarantee that restaurants will offer a takeout/delivery option this winter.
