Mark your calendars, New Yorkers. The annual NYC Pride March is officially returning to the streets of Manhattan at the end of June.
As one of the largest and longest-running LGBTQIA+ demonstrations in the world, it remains the ultimate symbol of community solidarity and activism.
Whether you are planning to march down Fifth Avenue or cheer from the sidelines, here is your essential guide to this year’s celebration.
When is the 2026 NYC Pride March?
The march takes place on Sunday, June 28, 2026. The colorful procession officially kicks off at 12:00 p.m.
If you can’t make it out to the pavement, you can catch the action from home. The march will be broadcast live on WABC-7 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., complete with exclusive interviews and live performances.
Who are the 2026 grand marshals?
This year’s lineup features an incredible group of trailblazers who have opened doors across entertainment, advocacy, and media. The 2026 Grand Marshals include:
- Dominique Jackson: The iconic actress from POSE and dedicated activist working with the trans-founded nonprofit Destination Tomorrow.
- Peppermint: The trailblazing RuPaul’s Drag Race star, Broadway history-maker, and ACLU Artist Ambassador for Trans Justice.
- Bernie Wagenblast: One of the most recognizable voices in the NYC transit system who publicly transitioned in her 60s.
- Bowen Yang: The Emmy-nominated Saturday Night Live star and co-host of the acclaimed Las Culturistas podcast.
- Gays Against Guns: An essential direct-action group nonviolently challenging gun violence since the Pulse nightclub tragedy.
What is the march route?
The procession will begin on Fifth Avenue near 25th Street.
Marchers will head south straight down Fifth Avenue before turning west onto 8th Street. From there, the route weaves past the historic Stonewall National Monument onto Christopher Street, heads north up Seventh Avenue, and officially disperses around 16th Street.
Do you need tickets?
The Pride March is completely free and open to the public.
However, if you want an upgraded experience, you can buy tickets to the Grandstand located near 5th Avenue and 25th Street. It features stadium seating, private restrooms, and complimentary food.
You can also buy access to the Audience Pit. This gets you front-and-center for the live musical performances during the WABC-7 broadcast. 100% of ticket proceeds go directly to supporting NYC Pride’s community initiatives.
