It’s been a hot hot summer so far in NYC, and that doesn’t appear to be letting up anytime soon.
Heat index forecasts show highs of 95 degrees in NYC today, and a Heat Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Thursday (7/15) through end of day Friday (7/16).
Due to the dangerous heat conditions, NYC Parks have extended hours at all of their Olympic- and intermediate-sized outdoor pools. They will be open until 8 p.m. Thursday & Friday.
The Mayor’s office has reminded New Yorkers to stay in air conditioning as much as possible, and to drink plenty of water. You can find “cooling centers” across the city here.
And get ready…because tomorrow will feel ever hotter!
