Summer may not be officially over yet (still five more days!), but those long summer nights are definitely winding down…
Tonight (Friday, September 17), NYC’s sunset will be at 7 p.m. — and it will be the last sunset on or after 7 p.m. until March 2022! New York Metro Weather, a local weather forecasting site by NYC meteorologists, Tweeted the news, but you can also see the predictions on “Time and Date.”
Of course, days won’t be quite as short as they will be after Daylight Savings in November, but they will get darker faster.
Another change in weather this week will be saying goodbye to the hot and humid temperatures we’re still experiencing to be met with some cooler and closer-to-fall weather — next week promises temperatures in the mid-70s rather than hovering in the 80s. We can’t say we’re mad about that!
Of course, there’s still time to make the most of your last days of summer (and getting ready for fall)! Just check out our 65 Sensational Things To Do In NYC This September.
And remember, fall doesn’t technically begin until September 22.
