At 1,550-feet tall, Central Park Tower has just become the world’s tallest residential building.
On Tuesday, September 17, the building at 217 West 57th Street topped out and became the world’s tallest, taking the title away from NYC’s 432 Park Avenue (which as of today will be the world’s second tallest). And according to New York Magazine, it would be the tallest building in NYC (and the U.S.) if it weren’t for the 400-foot spire on top of One World Trade Center.
Central Park Tower is 131-stories tall, and will have 179 “ultra-luxury” residences that begin on the 32nd floor of the building. Below that there will be a 300,000-square-foot, seven-story Nordstrom’s along with the world’s most exclusive private club, Central Park Club. The club will feature amenities like a spa, indoor pool, private fitness center, and sundeck with stunning views and a 60-foot outdoor pool.
Located on Billionaire’s Row, pricing for current availability at Central Park Tower begins at $6.9 million.
