Even if your summer vacation got “canceled by COVID,” you can still have a fabulous getaway right here in NYC.
And a truly safe one, at that! The gorgeous Mondrian Park Avenue hotel just reopened to the public, and they’re showing New Yorkers how you can have a totally luxe experience while also following safety precautions.
Complete with beautiful rooms decorated by an acclaimed designer, a coveted Manhattan location, and a stunning rooftop terrace with views of the city, it’s the place to be for a luxury getaway within the city itself. Plus, increased COVID-19 safety measures make you feel secure without taking away from the sophisticated experience.
All guests receive a quick, wrist temperature-check as they arrive at the door, greeted by friendly staff, all wearing face masks. And as you complete an easy, contactless check-in, you’re given a sealed package with extra face masks and wipes for your stay.
When you head to your room, you’ll notice a hygienic seal on the door, which proves that after your room was properly sterilized it was not entered again. There is also plenty of hand sanitizer all around the hotel!
The rooms are especially roomy for NYC, with cloud-soft bedding and double-headed rainfall showers. And the decor takes inspiration from the hotel’s namesake, painter Piet Mondrian, with beautiful contemporary art pieces adorning the walls.
The hotel is conveniently located in NoMad, with easy walks to Madison Square Park, the Empire State Building, and plenty of restaurants with outdoor seating like I Trulli, Blackbarn, and La Pecora Bianca. But if you want to stay completely tucked away from the bustling city below, their upscale Mediterranean restaurant Cleo on the ground floor opens July 29; plus, there’s a beautiful terrace on the 15th floor overlooking the city.
Tables are six feet apart and with comfortable booth seating and surrounding plants, you’ll feel like you’ve been whisked away to a peaceful garden oasis. An oasis with an incredible cocktail menu, that is!
The craft cocktails available on the rooftop are light, bright and perfect for summer. Try the Pineapple Aperol Spritz, the Wild Strawberry Negroni, or the “Spa Day Cooler” with vodka, lime, simple syrup, cucumber and mint. And scrumptious bites will be coming soon as well.
On some nights you can also enjoy live music while taking in the city views, like these beautiful classical Candlelight music concerts. Sit back and savor classics like Vivaldi and Beethoven, as well as Jazz programs and even pop and movie soundtracks played on strings, all while surrounded by flickering candlelight in the open air.
No matter how you decide to spend your days, the Mondrian Park Avenue is leading the way for safe, chic vacationing right here in New York. You can see available rooms and book your reservation on their website here! They are located at 444 Park Ave.
