Running season is officially here…just like spring, and this weekend marks the return of the 2025 NYC Half Marathon!
Tens of thousands of runners will take to the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan to attempt the 13.1 mile trek, starting near Prospect Park, meandering over the Brooklyn Bridge and ending up in Central Park.
We’ve put together all of the information you need to know before race day, including race logistics and how to track your favorite ‘lil trackstar!
NYC Half Marathon date and time
This year’s NYC Half Marathon is on Sunday, March 16th, beginning as early as 7 am for some runners.
Half Marathon route and map

This year’s NYC Half Marathon starts in Brooklyn, where participants will take off from the starting line near the Brooklyn Museum on Washington Avenue.
Runners will then weave through Prospect Park, including the challenging Battle Pass Hill, before circling Grand Army Plaza.
Continuing along Flatbush Avenue, runners will stroll right by the Barclays Center and pass over the Brooklyn Bridge for the first time ever – instead of the typical Manhattan Bridge.
Once they reach Manhattan, they’ll stick along the FDR Drive before cutting over on 42nd Street through Midtown and a car-free Times Square.
The race’s finish line is in Central Park on West Drive.
