Note: NYC’s Stranger Things Experience has now officially ended.
NYC Ferry has partnered with Netflix and Fever to be the official transportation sponsor of the soon-to-be over Stranger Things: The Experience, a mind-blowing interactive experience that has been met with countless rave reviews.
Located in the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard, NYC Ferry is already one of the easiest modes of transportation to the experience, but now you can ride in style as part of the fleet of boats will be outfitted in Stranger Things artwork.
Enjoy select ferry interiors wrapped with signature Stranger Things imagery as you traverse the waters and make your way to Hawkins (in BK)!
“After the smashing success of the show that just returned for season 4, we are excited to continue to expand the Stranger Things universe and provide fans a fun and engaging way to travel to Brooklyn, or shall I say, Hawkins, during the summer months,” says Greg Lombardo, Head of Experiences at Netflix.
“Thanks to NYC Ferry, we will be able to provide a 360-experience for our guests from the minute they hop onto the boat to when they enter our immersive experience.”
During the one-of-kind Stranger Things Experience — developed exclusively with the hit show’s creators — guests get to uncover hidden secrets in Hawkins Lab, explore iconic set recreations with El and the gang, be totally immersed in ‘80s nostalgia and much more.
Ticket holders who live in downtown Manhattan can kickstart their experience as soon as they step onto NYC Ferry at Pier 11/Wall Street. From there, they will make their way to the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Dock 72, followed by a quick 10-minute walk to the experience.
Since it’s on NYC Ferry’s Astoria route, you can also travel easily from East 90th Street, Astoria, Roosevelt Island, Long Island City, and East 34th Street.
The special branded service will run from June 15 through September 5. You can view the full NYC Ferry schedule on their website here.
A separate ferry ticket is required, which may be purchased either from the NYC Ferry app or at a ticket vending machine at the landing. You can also purchase drinks and snacks on board for your ride!
