New York City is about to become the epicenter of global soccer excitement, and your wallet is going to love it just as much as your sports loving heart.
As the city gears up to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani and the NYNJ Host Committee have rolled out a massive new dining initiative that guarantees locals and visitors alike can get in on the fun without breaking the bank.
Dubbed the “Five Borough Winners Special,” this citywide dining program is bringing affordable, mouth watering eats to every corner of NYC.
Let’s be real, eating out in the city can sometimes feel like a massive splurge.
That is exactly why this new initiative is such a game changer.
From June 11 through the final match on July 19, nearly 600 participating bars, restaurants, and food carts across the five boroughs will offer exclusive meal and drink specials for exactly $26.
From prix fixe menus in Little Senegal to specialized beverage and bite pairings in Little Odessa, the Five Borough Winners Special makes it easy to dine out affordably while cheering on your favorite team. Here are all the details.
Collectible cups and major rewards
The deals do not stop at the food!
Participating eateries also have the option to hand out limited edition commemorative cups with your purchase.
There are five unique 24 ounce reusable cup designs representing the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.
You are definitely going to want to collect the whole set to flex your borough pride on your social feeds.
Plus, you can turn your dining adventures into actual prizes.
The city is launching the “Welcome World Rewards” program, a digital platform where you can check in at local small businesses to earn points.
Racking up those points unlocks exclusive merchandise, VIP fan experiences, and even the chance to score tickets to the World Cup Final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium.
Yes, you read that right, eating good food could literally win you a seat at the biggest sporting event of the year!

Free fan zones in every borough
Beyond the epic restaurant deals, the city recently unveiled the “NYC Neighborhood Passport” program alongside free official fan zones spread across all five boroughs.
You do’nt need a pricey stadium ticket to feel the electric energy of the tournament. You can catch live match viewings and cultural programming right in your own backyard.
Here is where the massive free fan zones will be popping up:
- Manhattan: Rockefeller Center (transforming the iconic rink into a vibrant soccer pitch)
- Queens: USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center
- Brooklyn: Brooklyn Bridge Park at Emily Roebling Plaza
- The Bronx: Bronx Terminal Market
- Staten Island: SIUH Community Park
Businesses have until July 1 to sign up for the dining specials, meaning that 600 restaurant count is only going to grow as we get closer to kickoff.
So stay tuned for a full list of participating restaurants and food spots coming soon!
