Summer in NYC wouldn’t be summer in NYC without the New York Philharmonic’s free outdoor park concerts, and lucky for us the series returns for the season tonight, Wednesday, June 4th!
A beloved tradition dating back to 1965, the New York Philharmonic’s outdoor concerts are an iconic New York City summer experience that transforms parks throughout the city into a snapshot of New Yorkers and tourists alike enjoying some al fresco tunes. And the best part is that the shows are entirely free!
From Wednesday, June 4th through Saturday, June 7th, Gustavo Dudamel, will lead the orchestra in performances in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens, with each concert concluding with a stunning fireworks display around 10 pm. Each concert is approximately two hours long, including intermission.
If you haven’t yet experienced the breathtaking talent of one of the world’s greatest orchestras playing under the stars, now’s your chance to change that!
