Cozy Winter Yurts Return To Queens' Nowadays Next Week

Nowadays, a funky, minimalistic bar known for their enormous space, draft beers, and late-night DJs will once again “winterize” their backyard for the new season.

The backyard is located right by the Halsey L train stop, an area in which you wouldn’t think to find a massive garden. However, one could say that the unexpectedness of the location adds to its many charms. It makes for the perfect afterwork drinks, and now you can enjoy it even through the colder months!

Starting Saturday, November 11th, snuggle up to their toasty fire pits or stay warm with their heated tables and winter yurts.

For bites, enjoy a nice warming bowl of ramen from Diner by Izakaya’s new winter menu. Make sure to pair your meal with a hot toddy or spiked hot chocolate!

As for indoors, visitors can hang out at their full bar or play tons of fun games. Nowadays will also offer unmissable programming with night classes from OTA Academy, an NY institution for ballroom, runway and voguing on Tuesdays and public workshops discussing all topics ranging from psychedelics to music production on Wednesdays. Moreover, most matches from the World Cup will be screened indoors.
