After a January that felt three months long, February has arrived–though it’s somehow even colder and powered almost entirely by comfort food and denial. The city refuses to hibernate, though.
New restaurants and bars keep opening at an unbelievable pace, because if we’re going to suffer through winter, we might as well eat well. Consider this your cheat sheet for where to dine and drink–go now, before the Resy wait times spiral.
Odo East Village – Now Open

Odo East Village, an intimate, late night 24-seat restaurant, just opened from Hiroki Odo, the culinary force behind the acclaimed two-Michelin-starred Odo in Flatiron.
The space introduces a rare hybrid concept never seen before in Manhattan: the “kaiseki izakaya,” reimagining Japanese dining for a new generation by blending therefined seasonality and technique of traditional kaiseki with the warmth, spontaneity, and casual charm of an izakaya.
DEJAVU – Now Open

A caviar café by day, supper club by night, DEJAVU is the West Village’s newest hot spot.
Founded by restaurateur and nightlife entrepreneur Barış Köroğlu, DEJAVU blurs the line between dining and nightlife, a place to drop in for coffee, stay for dinner, and linger late into the night.
Salumeria Rosi – Now Open

Salumeria Rosi is bringing its beloved, authentically northern Italian vibes to the East Village after operating on the Upper West Side since 2008.
The new location features the restaurant’s well-established lunch and dinner menu–think: pasta made in-house and charcuterie boards stacked with the finest imported Italian meats and cheeses–along with debuting its new café, serving the neighborhood from early morning through late evening.
PopUp Bagels – Now Open

Get ready to rip and dip–PopUp Bagels, the “Not Famous, but Known” bagel shop, has officially opened their highly anticipated Tribeca location, marking their 8th storefront in NYC.
The new space is bringing the same hot, whole bagels and rotating schmears made to “Grip, Rip and Dip,” all in a standout new storefront.
Joy Flower Pot – Soft Opening Phase

Joy Flower Pot is a coffee shop and floral studio with Vietnamese coffee and seasonal floral designs. It’s currently in its soft-opening phase in Williamsburg.
According to Greenpointers, Joy Flower Pot’s owner, Kelly Nguyễn, grew up in her family’s garden in Vietnam and is a self-taught florist. Joy Flower Pot is her “natural next step” in her desire to expand on her first floral studio located in NYC’s LES.
The shop serves matcha and specialty Vietnamese coffee, all imported directly from Vietnam. Yes we know, it’s not a restaurant, but with how much we New Yorkers love our coffee it was certainly worth a mention.
Ambassadors Clubhouse – Now Open

Jyotin Sethi is opening Ambassadors Clubhouse this February. The sprawling Punjabi menu is filled with classic barbecue dishes and regional specialties, including satpura, a seven-layer pastry stuffed with samosa filling.
All of the cooking at Ambassadors Clubhouse is inspired by recipes from the palaces of Punjab, dhabas, home recipes, and street food.
Anbā – Now Open

Acclaimed sushi chef Ambrely Ouimette has opened Anbā, a 10-seat omakase counter opening discreetly tucked behind a cocktail lounge on the LES.
Led by an all-female culinary team, Anbā offers a 16-course, seasonally driven tasting meal rooted in classical Japanese technique, fermentation, and careful aging. Designed by Ouimette herself, the counter pairs an intimate, wabi-sabi setting with a focused sake, Japanese whisky, tea, and cocktail program.
Tous les Jours – Now Open

Tous les Jours, the French-Korean bakery celebrated for transforming everyday moments into extraordinary experiences, has officially opened just steps from the Flatiron Building.
The location offers freshly baked pastries, seasonal cakes, a variety of Cloud Cake flavors–including Cream Cloud, Mango Cloud, Green Tea Cloud, and Choco Cloud–along with artisan breads and popular breakfast offerings such as the Egg & Cheese Morning Bun, Spinach Feta Danish, and Strawberry Croissant.
Skewr – Now Open

Skëwr, a live-fire Mediterranean restaurant, has opened in NoMad, bringing New Yorkers ingredient-driven cooking rooted in the communal culture of the levant.

The Vaux Social – Now Open

The Vaux Social, a new modern public house, is bringing New American flavors, classic martinis, proper pours, and good company day and night to Prospect Heights.
The menu draws inspiration from the modern pub culture of London–where Indian-inspired bar snacks nod to this tradition, including pani puri tuna tartare, house-made onion fritters prepared in the style of a bhaji, and wild boar sausage rolls–while the bar program focuses on classic cocktails and perfect pours.
Casita of Brooklyn – Soft Opening Phase (Grand Opening 2/14)

Currently in its soft opening phase, with a grand opening slated for Saturday, February 14, Casita of Brooklyn is a Latin and Greek inspired coffee shop serving a selection of Greek and Latin pastries, like Spanakopita and Mom’s Migas, as well as coffee.
Yes, also not a restaurant but also worth a mention.
We’ll continue to update this as the month goes on, so be sure to keep checking back! 🍽️✨
