The new Broadway shows 2026 has on its roster are leaving us completely excited, and frankly, slightly impatient.
There’s something to satisfy all fans — tearjerkers, true crimes, cult classics, and but of course, the ultimate Dolly Parton musical.
See what’s coming up in the new year and be sure to also peruse the current shows on Broadway if you have a few 2025 stragglers!
Every Brilliant Thing
Hailing from across the pond, Every Brilliant Thing will debut at the Hudson Theatre for a 13-week run just ahead of spring 2026.
The solo play from Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe features a very notable figure: none other than Daniel Radcliffe, who will mark his return to Broadway with this number.
The play focuses on a nameless protagonist who accumulates a list of all the best things in life — waking up next to someone you love, roller coasters, ice cream, and so on — but keep in mind, it does feature some heavier subjects, too.
Considering it played three consecutive sold-out summers at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, we’re willing to undergo a bit of heartache along the way.
Dog Day Afternoon
The Bears‘ Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are leaving Chicago and heading to NYC for a revival of an old true crime story about a Brooklyn bank robbery gone wrong.
What’s more, both of our chefs will be making their personal Broadway debut with Dog Day Afternoon.
The Rocky Horror Show
New Yorkers’ antici…. pation to see the iconic Rocky Horror come to life on stage is unmatched.
Dr. Frank-n-Furter and co. are headed to Studio 54 via the Roundabout Theatre Company to welcome college the sweethearts who veer off-course when their car breaks down in front of his mansion.
Kelli O’Hara and Rose Byrne are set to star in the production and take everyone through the classic tunes: “Time Warp” and beyond!
The Lost Boys, A New Musical
Have some garlic on hand — vampires are en route to The Great White Way this year.
Based on the 1987 cult classic, The Lost Boys follows a mother and her two sons who relocate to Northern California for a fresh start. One the teens start making new friends, one discovers the group he’s uncovered is a little spooky…
Cats: The Jellicle Ball
CATS, but with a twist, this Off-Broadway production is landing in the big leagues.
Consider it a take on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit and T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats — but with a drag and ball twist.
Dolly: A True Original Musical
Although details are still mum at this time, we’ll be working 9-5 to get you all the intel on this highly-anticipated Dolly Parton musical.
The queen herself announced the Broadway show two years ago and said, “I’ve written many original songs for the show and included all your favorites in it as well. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll clap, you’ll stomp, it truly is a Grand Ol’ Opera. Pun and fun intended. Don’t miss it!”
We’re ready when you are, Dolly!
