And they’re serving up a $150 cocktail!
On November 16, the Water Tower Bar- the newest addition to the Williamsburg Hotel- opened to the public and it sure has been controversial. According to the Post, the bar itself was built from scratch and was installed above the rooftop pool.
The water tower inspired building boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the East River. The interior decor is trendy and cozy, and there’s a focus on pop art, especially that of Roy Lichtenstein. Considering the price tag and “exclusivity” of the place, the highlight of the locale is definitely the view.
Apparently, the business is “banking on high-priced exclusivity as a formula for success with just 45 seats, $500 bottle service and $525 caviar tastings.” This includes the bar menu, with cocktail recipes ranging from a CBD oil-infused cocktail coming in at $22 and a truffle-infused Aperol drink which will get you for a whopping $150. Raw bars and a truffled grilled cheese are also on the menu.
The Water Tower is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 pm to 4 am. You can make your reservation by emailing watertower@thewilliamsburghotel.com, and walks-ins are at the discretion of the door.
