Fans of Netflix’s You will be delighted to know that a pop-up version of Mooney’s Bookstore, from Season 1, is coming to New York this month for one weekend only.
It’s more than fitting that an exciting activation is en route to NYC as Season 5 of You, set to premiere on April 24th, 2025, will bring Joe back to the city that never sleeps for one last thrilling story.

“We always said that we would stop after five [seasons] and, in a perfect world, we would bring Joe back home to New York,” Michael Foley, You co-showrunner, told Tudum. “We loved the idea of things coming full circle for him. We’re excited by the fact that Joe came home as such a different person than [who] we saw in Season 1. At the core of our final story for Joe is this dichotomy of the old and the new.”
For those of you that don’t remember, Mooney’s Bookstore is where Joe Goldberg first met Beck in Season 1, Joe as a charming bookseller and Beck as a beautiful customer. Joe quickly becomes obsessed and the pair start dating.
However, if you finished the season, you’d know the basement of Mooney’s Bookstore and its cage for protecting rare books becomes a place of horror for Beck later on.

Though the actual filming of Mooney’s Bookstore’s exterior and front interior took place at a real Manhattan bookshop, known as Logo’s Bookstore on the Upper East Side, fans will finally get to step inside the You universe entirely at this NYC pop-up.
Mooney’s Bookstore pop-up will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis from April 22nd to April 23rd at 489 Broome Street.
Fans can expect to participate in a literary scavenger hunt for the chance to get their hands on exclusive merch and prizes. Plus, there will be plenty of photo-ops to fill your camera roll.

If you can’t make the Mooney’s Bookstore pop-up that weekend, The Ripped Bodice in Brooklyn will host another You scavenger hunt the week before (April 16th to April 23rd) for free merchandise and virtual fan screening access.
That’s right, a virtual watch party will also be made available on Tudum. You’ll need to RSVP online to access the early digital screening, along with a live Q&A with Penn Badgley and special guests.
