The 43rd annual National Dominican Day Parade will march its way through NYC this August, and you won’t want to miss the celebration! Although this yearly parade takes place in Manhattan, alternative, smaller-scale parades are held across the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn.

Participants and spectators can get ready for the 2025 National Dominican Day Parade on August 10th, 2025, with the festivities kicking off at 11am.

The parade route will follow along 19 blocks of Sixth Avenue from 36th to 55th Streets.

The parade typically involves more than 10,00 marchers, along with music, dancing and educational initiatives under the National Dominican Day Parade Scholarship Program.
What’s the National Dominican Day Parade Scholarship Program and how to apply?
The program awards up to $10,000 to assist Dominican students pursue higher education in the U.S.
Eligible applicants must be of Dominican descent, have a good academic standing and be a full time student. Submission of the eligibility forms are due between August 1st, 2025 and September 26th, 2025. Winning recipients will be announced for the 2025-2026 scholarship on March 13th, 2026. The former year’s scholarship recipients are invited to march in this year’s parade.

Applications require the submission of an online form, transcripts, a resume, letters of recommendation and an essay. Candidates will also undergo an interview if they move forward. Learn more about the application process online.
