Ahh 4th of July! What better way to celebrate our country’s independence than by watching a bunch of guys shove their faces with hot dogs? Well, if you really can’t think of anything better to do, here’s what you need to know!
The annual hot dog eating contest takes place every year on Coney Island at 11:30am. If you prefer to spend your day relaxing and eating one-or fifty- hot dogs at home with your own family and friends, you can tune in to the competition on ESPN since, technically this is a sport?
This year’s favorites in the line up of athletes are Joey Chestnut for the men and Miki Sudo for the ladies.
The record to beat for this year is 72 hot dogs for the guys and 45 hot dogs for the gals. There’s an art and science behind it all of course and months and months of training! Who will bring home the Mustard Belt? Let’s see!
