The Brooklyn Mirage may be closed for the season, but the party is still going strong in the Avant Gardner complex. With several venues hosting concerts and performances, there’s plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
The Great Hall, described as “the quintessential Brooklyn industrial warehouse, that’s anything but,” is one of the three venue spaces in the East Williamsburg complex. It’s a massive 15,000-square-foot indoor space, with ceilings that are over 30 feet high, that achieves the acoustics of the most renowned concert halls through their industrial design. You’ll find exposed beams and brick as well as wood slats covering sound absorbing surfaces that together make the space ideal for concerts. That said, there are several performances coming up in November that you won’t want to miss.
On Friday, November 16, rapper Gucci Mane—known for Billboard chart-topping songs like “I Get the Bag,” “Wasted,” and “Both”—will be performing at the Great Hall with artists Smokepurpp and Hoodrich Pablo Juan. Smokepurpp is a rapper from Miami, Florida who has worked with artists like Offset, Migos, and Lil Yachty, while Hoodrich Pablo Juan is a rising rapper from Atlanta. Then on Saturday, November 17, Gorgon City will be performing live as part of their Escape Tour. The UK duo made up of Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott will perform at the Great Hall in Brooklyn will special guests Hotel Garuda and King Henry. Both concerts begin at 8 p.m. at 140 Stewart Avenue.
