Yes, there’s a national day for everything now. But can you really have a problem with the ooey gooey goodness that represents National Cheese Lovers Day?
We bet not, especially when New York City’s favorite cheesemonger Murray’s Cheese is teaming up with the chill game spot Clinton Hall to create this amazing creation, aptly named “The Resolution Breaker.” Envisioned by Clinton Hall’s Executive Chef Darryl Harmon, what does this over-the-top cheesy masterpiece involve, you may ask?
Well, first, two toasty grilled cheese buns are made with Murray’s Gouda, Fontina and Mac & Cheese blend cheeses. Then, a juicy, six-ounce beef patty is placed right between them. Then, for a salty AND sweet finish, it’s topped with fried slices of Murray’s cheese curds as well as bread and butter pickles.
The $18 sandwich will be served from National Cheese Lover’s Day, which is Monday, January 20, through Valentine’s Day (February 14) at all five Clinton Hall locations, and Murray’s Cheese Bar on 264 Bleecker Street location (the week of Jan. 20 only).
